Labor minister -Qatar firmly support Palestinian people

Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri has stressed Qatar's firm stance in support of the Palestinian people until they regain all their legitimate rights, out of Qatar's belief in their just cause and in fulfillment of its moral responsibility that requires standing by justice and supporting the oppressed.

This came during the Minister of Labor's speech during the partners meeting to support the implementation of the Palestinian National Employment Strategy in the presence of Arab Labor Ministers and representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and Arab Labour Organization (ALO).

The meeting, organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Labour, ILO, ALO, and the German government, aims to find effective mechanisms to create job opportunities for Palestinian men and women during the coming years.

Dr Al Marri reiterated Qatar's strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the city of Nablus in the West Bank, which is an extension of the occupation's continuous and systematic crimes against the Palestinian people and its flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy by committing horrific crimes against the fraternal Palestinian people.

Dr Al Marri noted that the harsh conditions experienced by Palestinian workers require continuous pressure on the occupation to fulfill its obligations according to international law. His Excellency pointed out the need to coordinate the unified efforts of the Arab group before international organizations, which should contribute to providing the needed support to overcome the challenges faced by the labor market in the State of Palestine.

He reiterated that the Palestinian cause shall remain the central cause of the Arab and Islamic nation and all the honorable people around the world and that the State of Qatar shall spare no effort in working to alleviate the hardships faced by the Palestinian people, intensify the efforts in the field of providing decent work, and support education, especially vocational training field.

He said that Qatar always seeks to support the brothers in Palestine as there were some initiatives to provide financial support to the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection in coordination with the ILO, stressing the need for donor countries to continue their support to the Palestinian Authority to face the ongoing challenges including labor and education.
