Speaking in a panel discussion at the Global Security Forum in Doha, Ambassador of the United States to the State of Qatar Timmy Davis Tuesday affirmed his country's appreciation for Qatar's effective international role, praising at the same time the advanced level of relations between the two friendly countries.
Timmy Davis said, “The State of Qatar has become a force for good, not just regionally but globally.”
He highlighted the bilateral strategic partnership and well-established economic and security relations.
The envoy praised the remarkable development in Qatar at various levels, and its stability, security and openness to the world as well as the stable and distinctive environment it provides for companies, business and tourism.
The US highly appreciates what Qatar is doing at the regional and international levels, and the humanitarian aid it provides around the world, and this is what the US seeks to confirm for everyone in the US to realize the importance of this relationship, he added.
“The State of Qatar plays positive roles in many files at the regional and international levels, and it has a rich and complicated foreign policy,” he said, highlighting the many areas that allow further cooperation, especially in areas where they have great experience.
The Global Security Forum, held under the theme "Reshaping the Global Order: Conflict, Crises, and Cooperation" focuses in its fifth edition on the international approach to managing conflicts, crises and cooperation, and includes discussions on topics such as the global energy crisis and the approach to promoting sustainable economies, and the competition of great powers that reached its climax in the Ukraine War, as well as the role of the United Nations Security Council, and other issues.
The forum is witnessing high-level participation that brings together a number of government leaders, ministers, heads of security agencies, and government policy makers, in addition to specialized experts, academics, journalists, and private sector leaders from the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, and the Far East.
