The reunited Junoon band from Pakistan is set to rock Doha stage once again in a live performance at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), on January 30. The band's loyalists who call themselves ‘Junoonis,’ are highly anticipating for their grand comeback. Fans coming from the UK, the US, GCC, and subcontinents, are raving for their reunion tour in Qatar.
The concert, which comes under the Shop Qatar 2020 festivities, will be part of the PK Music Festival at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
Formed about three decades ago, the legendary band returned from a 13-year hiatus in December 2018 in a spectacular reunion in Karachi, Pakistan.
After 17 long years, The Pakistani Sultans of Rock are coming to Qatar this January 30 to bring back the nostalgia and relive the magic of their smash hits. Not only does the band earned the ‘South Asia's most successful band’ recognition, but they were also regarded as ‘One of the Biggest Rock Bands in the World’ by Q Magazine and ‘The U2 of Pakistan’ by New York Times.
The three-member band includes guitarist and songwriter Salman Ahmed, vocalist Ali Azmat, and bass guitarist Brian O’Connell.
The band’s old hits including ‘Saiyoni,’ ‘Jazba Junoon,’ ‘Saeen,’ and ‘Yaar Bina Dil’ have been ingrained in the memories of ‘Junoon’ fans all over the world.
This is not the first time the group will perform in Qatar. Last 2003, they won the hearts of Doha crowd. This time, the band is headed for another full-house show as they enjoy a devoted fan base in the country.
