Free flu vaccine in Qatar for all from 20th October. Over 500,000 will be vaccinated this season in the campaign that will be on until March 2021.

Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) jointly launched the national influenza vaccination campaign at Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.
Flu vaccine is safe for everyone above six months and will be available for free starting from 20th October at the PHCC health centers or at over 40 private and semi-government facilities.
The campaign will be on until March 2021 and over 500,000 will be vaccinated this season.
Dr Abdullatif Al Khal, Chair of the National Health Strategic Group on Covid-19 and Head of Infectious Diseases at Hamad Medical Corporation, speaking about the importance of flu vaccine said, "Taking the flu vaccine is more important this year. Both the Covid-19 and flu have the same symptoms and getting co-infected with flu and coronavirus can lead to severe complications."
He added that there is a more effective vaccine for flu but not for Covid-19 and so it is important for all to get themselves vaccinated.
