Qatar occupies a high world ranking in transparency and fighting corruption, according to Transparency International’s latest report.

Transparency International published its Corruption Perceptions Index 2020, which saw Qatar achieve 63 points. The result meant that Qatar is ranked second in the GCC and among Arab countries, and 30th from a total of 180 countries that are featured in the index.
countries are ranked based on the perceived level of public sector corruption according to experts and business people.
The index relies on indicators provided by the World Bank, World Economic Forum, International Institute for Management Development (IMD), and the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) among other prestigious international institutions.
The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority takes a number of steps to ensure Qatar remains a leader in the field of transparency and fighting corruption in all regional and international indexes, and not just the Corruption Perceptions Index.
