PHCC launches Adult Oral Health Screening Service

The Primary Health Care Corporation launched the National Adult Oral Health Screening Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

As a part of a range of dental screening programmes in Qatar, the national screening services is primarily concerned with preventing oral disease and promoting oral health which includes Beautiful Smiles and the National School Oral Health Program provided by PHCC.

The screening programme will be an opportunity for patients to raise any oral health concerns for early diagnosis, to ensure patients are well informed of the best oral health care and provide evidence-based preventive advice.

Managing Director at PHCC said “Preventive dental health screening aims to facilitate early diagnosis and treatment, therefore improving the quality of life for our communities. Whilst emergency and restorative interventions can stop disease, they cannot restore the natural tooth and gum tissue lost because of it. The most cost-effective way to ensure optimal dental health is through prevention and education”
