Qatar PM meets Saudi minister of tourism

The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani met today at Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah palace with Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HE Ahmed bin Aqeel Al Khateeb and his accompanying delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the country.

The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the means to enhance them

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cut all links with Qatar in June 2017, alleging it backed radical Islamist groups and was too close to Riyadh's rival Tehran -- allegations Doha denied.

But relations were fully restored in January after a landmark summit in the Saudi desert city of Al-Ula.

Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Qatar last December as part of a Gulf tour, marking his first visit to the country after the two sides severed ties four years ago.
