Turkey earthquake: Qatar sets up air bridge for relief supply, sends rescue teams.

Two earthquakes with the magnitude of 7.4 and 7.6 at 04:17 AM and 1324 PM respectively jolted area of Kahramanmaraş in the Southern part of Turkiye as per spokesperson of Embassy of Turkiye in Doha.
The severe earthquake occurred early in the morning of yesterday was 7 km below the ground caused the collapse of a total of 1,710 buildings in Kahramanmaraş, as well as the 9 other nearby provinces, namely Adıyaman, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Malatya and Hatay.
As per the latest Turkish media reports, 1,498 people were killed and 8,533 others were injured following the earthquakes, which were felt in 11 provinces
In this context, Turkish embassy appreciated the position of the State of Qatar in solidarity with the earthquake victims since the first hours of the disaster.
Furthermore, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today to convey message of condolences and solidarity of the State of Qatar.
In implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the first flights of the air bridge allocated by the State of Qatar to support the sisterly Republic of Turkey to confront the disaster of the earthquake that struck southern Turkey, started on Monday.
The first flights of the air bridge are accompanied by a team from the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) equipped with specialized mechanisms for search and rescue operations, in addition to a field hospital, relief aid, tents and winter supplies.
