The highly anticipated 9th edition of the Inter Hotel Premier Cricket League (PCL) is finally here, and the PCL workforce is all geared up for the upcoming tournament.
The kick-off meeting, fondly referred to as the Huddle, took place on December 27, bringing together the finest minds in the hospitality industry to discuss the rules of the event. The meeting was hosted by Chander Raina, a legendary figure in the industry, hailing from Grand Regency Trademark Collection by Wyndham.
The tournament is set to kick off on Saturday, 27th January 2024 and will run until 2nd March 2024. Matches will be played every Saturday at the QCA grounds in Lusail, with the opening and closing ceremonies taking place in Messaied Cricket Stadium. The grand finale promises to be a spectacular event, with it being scheduled under the floodlights in the state-of-the-art MIC Cricket Stadium.
The PCL workforce is composed of 10 legends, each renowned for their expertise in the field. Gehan from Rixos Qetaifan Islands, Umran from Krossroads, Pamitha from Diplomatic Club, Anup from Qabila West Bay, Mehroz from St. Regis, Mahesh from Mondrian, Joy from Radisson Blu, Hassan from SWBH and Kashif from IPS, all lent their expertise to ensure the success of the tournament.
For over 20 years, the Inter Hotel Championship has been a marquee event, showcasing the camaraderie and competitive spirit among the participating hotels. This year, the workforce at PCL has put in their best efforts to make the 9th edition the most spectacular one yet, under the able leadership of Chander Raina. The PCL expects 36 confirmed hotel participations, with the possibility of more hotels joining in on the excitement.
