The Manager of Constructions Affairs at Barwa Real Estate Group, Khalid Abdullah Al Hitmi has announced that the Barwa Motor City Phase 3 will be ready shortly.
Located in Rawdat Rashid, near Salwa Road intersection and locally known as ‘Madinat Al Mawater’, the project is a new destination for used-cars related activities.
The Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects are ready and operational. The city has been witnessing an increase in sport activities and classical cars every Thursday and Friday. The car showrooms of phase 1 and 2 have been let out completely, while the showrooms of third phase are on the booking, revealed Khalid al Hitmi.
He further said, the city will have several other facilities other than car showrooms, which include vehicle services, car dealerships, technical inspection centre etc.
The project is expected to be ready next year, Al Hitmi said. The Motor City, on completion, will have used car showrooms, workshops, residential accommodation, a hotel, a motel and commercial shops.
There will also be other supporting amenities including offices for Traffic department, banks, car insurance, civil defence, petrol station and car technical inspection service.
This multi-phased project is being developed and operated by the Barwa Group. The project will be ready within four years, and will benefit through the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) system for 30 years.
The Phase one of the project features 60 used-car showrooms, 10 shops, 176 apartments of varying sizes, a petrol station and other infrastructure works. On completion, the Motor City will be the main hub for all used-car related activities including their sale, purchase and maintenance.
According to Al Hitmi, Barwa is also building schools for Ministry of Education and Higher Education under Public and Private Partnership (PPP).
