The Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), together with the United Development Company (UDC), will bring together leading Qatari designers and luxury fashion brands for the first virtual fashion show in the country.
The audience will be inspired by the stunning original designs from Qatar-based creatives and leading retail stores when delivering unforgettable experience to viewers from the comfort of their homes.
The Virtual Fashion Show, staged at The Pearl Qatar, one of Qatar’s most emblematic locations, the show will broadcast live from QNTC social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram and You Tube Live tomorrow at 9pm.
It will highlight the original creations of five brands, namely, The Project, Ashwa Fashion, Per Lei Couture and Youssef Al Jasmi, in the ready-to-wear, eveningwear, menswear categories along with the abaya brand shades.
The Director of Public Relations and Communication at QNTC, Jawaher Al Khuzaei said “We are pleased to introduce this innovative concept to Qatar’s summer calendar this year. Developing such offerings is part of QNTC’s wider strategy to work with stakeholders across the private and public sectors and bring residents a host of exciting events which promote Qatar as a destination that embraces modernity while remaining rooted in tradition.”
The Pearl Qatar, with its architecturally distinct precincts is home to luxury accommodations, diverse range of leisure & entertainment facilities, pristine beaches, an award-winning marina, and a range of world-class restaurants and high-end retail shops.
The fashion show forms part of the Qatar Summer Programme, which includes a vibrant line-up of offers arranged by QNTC for residents to enjoy their summer holidays. The show will include the latest in virtual technology, wherein, viewers can enjoy the live experience and will reflect the wealth of creativity that Qatar has to offer.
It complements QNTC’s efforts to support the growing fashion sector in Qatar through events such as Design District at Shop Qatar and the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition.
