As part of the second phase of repatriation initiative, Qatar will run six flights to India. The six flights will be:
Doha-Hyderabad – 20th May
Doha-Vishakapatnam – 20th May
Doha-Kannur – 20th May
Doha-Kochi – 21st May
Doha-Bengaluru – 22nd May
Doha – Gaya (24th May)
The Indian embassy urged all those interested in getting back to India, to register on their website on time.
The first phase of repatriation included two flights, one to Kochi, and other to Thiruvananthapuram. The Kochi flight had 178 passengers, and departed on 9th May, while the second flight had 181 passengers and departed today.
“Over two-thirds of the total repatriation registrations from Qatar are just for Kerala. It is therefore natural that there will be more flights for Kerala than for other states. We are pushing for more flights to other states in the coming week(s),” Embassy said in its official handle.
Several people from north and western Indian states have been seeking flights to their cities too. A few days ago, Ambassador said that more than 44,000 people have already registered on their website.
