Six more flights to connect Doha and India from 18th June

As per the list published on the website, there will be six additional flights from 18th June to two states in India, which forms part of third phase of Vande Bharat Mission. This is in addition to the 21 flights announced earlier.

A senior official from the Indian Embassy who spoke to the media said that the Indian government wants to shift majority of people who wish to travel back home from across the world, as quickly as possible, and hence, the additional flights.

Indian repatriation

The Indian External Affairs Ministry has published its new list of flights from Doha to various Indian cities, as part of repatriation efforts by the Indian Government.

The airports serviced by the Air India Express flights are Trivandrum, Bhubaneshwar, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Kannur. The Bhubaneshwar flight would take a technical halt in Delhi.

The embassy finalizes the passenger lists for the flights based on the registrations made on their website for this purpose. So far, more than 40,000 people have registered with the embassy to get back to India.

Till date, 21 flights have left Doha to various Indian cities, thereby bringing the total number of repatriated passengers to 3506 in addition to 98 infants, the Indian Embassy said in its tweet.
