15 June 2021

Katara has slashed the rates for all water sport activities by 50 percent. Motorized activities such as boat ride, catamaran ride, parasailing and water skiing and non-motorized activities such as sea pedal boat and kayak are now open for visitors at half the rate.

The rates for 30 minutes of activities have been reduced by 50 percent. So, the boat ride now costs QR60, while catamaran ride is priced at QR100. Water skiing and parasailing have been priced at QR75 and QR50 respectively, while non-motorized activities are priced at QR25.

Revealing this on social media, Qatara said that activities are dependent on weather conditions and it is compulsory for one to wear a life jacket for all water-sport activities.

Children under 16 years should be accompanied by adults and for certain activities age restrictions are in place to ensure their safety.

No booking is required for beach activities which start from 3.30pm until sunset after which one can remain on the beach until 11pm.

Tickets can be purchased to enter the beach from Gate No.1 and Gate No.8, and they do not require prior reservation. The entry for adults is allowed after showing Ehteraz in green.

An entrance fee of QR10 is charged for adults, while for those below 18 years of age the entry is free. Those who have booked for marine sports are also allowed free entry into the beach.

The beach is open daily from 3.30pm to 11pm with no swimming after sunset.
