The schools in Qatar will remain closed during Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
As per the Academic Calendar for 2022-23 issued by the Education Minister today, half yearly vacation for schools will begin from 20th November 2022 and end on 22nd December 2022.
The most anticipated event of the year, namely, the Qatar 2022 World Cup will begin on 21st November 2022 at Al Bayt Stadium and the final will be played on 18th December 2022 at Lusail Stadium. A total of 64 matches will be held across eight World Cup stadiums.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi issued a ministerial decision about the annual school calendar for academic year 2022-23.
Accordingly, the academic year 2022-23 will begin on 14th August 2022, while the second semester will start on 25th December 2022.
The decision also specified the start and end date of all activities, programmes, events, including exams and vacations, and the beginning and end of every semester.
The last exam for academic year will be on 6th June 2023.
