Hotel accommodation mandatory for visa on arrival for three nationalities

08 April 2022

The Interior Ministry has amended the requirement for visa-on-arrival for nationals from Iran, India and Pakistan. Henceforth, they will have to book a hotel through DiscoverQatar website for the entire duration.

The DiscoverQatar website has already posted details, and has begun accepting booking only for visa-on-arrival for these nationalities.

Even if visiting your family in Qatar, you will have to book the hotel for the entire duration of your stay, clarified DiscoverQatar.

From 14th April 2022, the Interior Ministry for State of Qatar has mandated that all nationals with passport issued by India, Pakistan and Iran will have to meet the following additional conditions to obtain ‘Visa on Arrival’.

The hotel accommodation should be purchased from DiscoverQatar website by the visitor.

The visa duration would depend on the duration of their stay in Qatar from a minimum of 2 days to maximum of 60 days.

All other criteria mandated by the Interior Ministry will have to be met too. However, this is only applicable to ‘Visa on Arrivals’ for Iranian, Indian and Pakistani nationals.
