The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar has announced the decision to ease some Covid-19 precautionary measures in schools and kindergartens from 20th March 2022.
Students below 12 years of age will no longer have to wear face masks (in all public and private schools and kindergartens), although those who wish to wear it can continue to do so.
All non-vaccinated and unrecovered students will have to undergo home antigen rapid test on a weekly basis, as per earlier procedures.
Meanwhile, all students will have to adhere to precautionary measures, the ministry said, further emphasizing that the safety of students is of utmost priority. It further said that it is committed to continuing the educational process in a manner that is appropriate to all circumstances and developments.
