Qatar announces Eid holidays for public and government entities

Qatar’s Amiri Diwan has announced Eid holidays on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. 

For all ministries, government entities and public institutions, the holiday begins on Sunday, 1st May 2022 ending on Monday, the 9th May 2022. Employees will resume work on Tuesday, 10th May 2022.

As for Qatar Central Bank (QCB), banks and financial institutions working under the supervision of QCB and Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA), the Governor of QCB has specified the start and end of the holiday. 

QCB announced that Eid Al Fitr holidays for all financial institutions in the country, including exchange stores, banks, finance, insurance companies, investment and financial advisories will begin on Sunday, 1st May 2022 and continue until Thursday, 5th May 2022.

QCB further said that all financial institutions and banks in Qatar will open for public from Sunday, 8th May 2022.
