Qatar has cancelled all Covid-19 quarantine requirements for foreign visitors and has announced withdrawal of its red list, as it prepares to host the 2022 World Cup in November.
Although no quarantine is required for global visitors, those testing positive for Covid19 after arrival in Qatar, will still have to adhere to Qatar’s quarantine rules.
The visitors, should however, submit a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Certificate with a negative result valid for 24 hours, or a PCR test with a negative result valid for 48 hours when they arrive in Qatar. Rapid antigen self-tests are not acceptable.
Visitors are also required to download the Ehteraz mobile app, and activate it on their mobile phones using local or international SIM card. They should also register in the pre-entry online registration system through www.ehteraz.gov.qa within three days prior to arrival.
These amendments to Covid19 regulations will get effective on 4th September at 6pm Qatar time.
