Qatar considered as world’s safest family-friendly destination for tourists

Doha was named the ‘Arab Tourism Capital’ for 2023 by the Arab Ministerial Council, while the Numbeo Crime Index has named Qatar as the world’s safest city for tourist for fifth year in a row, and has named Qatar as being a ‘family-friendly’ destination.

Named as the ‘Arab Tourism Capital’ for 2023 by the Arab Ministerial Council, Doha treats familiest to the very best Middle Eastern hospitality.

Qatar welcomed record visitor numbers in January and February, while on 15th March 2023, the country surpassed one million international visitors to its shores when travellers flocked by land, plane and sea to soak up the winter sun.

The Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism, Berthold Trenkel, said “Qatar is a fantastic destination for families to come together and make lasting memories. For the last five years, the Numbeo Crime Index has ranked Qatar the safest country in the world, one of the reasons the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was the most family-friendly iteration of the tournament we have ever seen.”
