As one of the oldest British Schools in Qatar, Doha College boasts a history of educational excellence based on firmly embedded values, a passion for learning and an international environment which inspires through its sheer diversity.
Founded in the 1980s, Doha College (or DC) was has a student body of over 2000 students from 68 nationalities. The school is sponsored by the British Embassy and is a non-profit organisation. It has one of the largest test score ratio because if their amazing staff members who aid the students in their work.

The school is academically selective, both for admissions and progress between key stages. The college offers a broad choice of courses to study, totaling 25 A‐Level subjects and a BTEC Diploma in Sports Coaching. They have integrated digital learning in the curriculum; the school was recently shortlisted by the British International Schools Magazine Awards in the “Outstanding Digital Technology Initiative” category.

They were also the first school in Qatar to be accredited under the new Council of British Schools (COBIS) Patron’s Accreditation and Compliance Scheme and the college was the first school in Qatar to be awarded an Eco‐Schools Green Flag from the Foundation for Environmental Education in 2016, following a rigorous inspection. Their work on environmental issues won the school the 2017 British International Schools Award in the “International Impact” category.

2018 is another record year for Doha College results and they are celebrating an exceptional year of outstanding A Level examination results. Meanwhile, two students achieved “best in the world”, three achieve “best in the Middle East” and another three attain “Best in Qatar” results for IGCSE in 2017 examinations.

Construction of a new all encompassing state‐of‐the‐art campus in Al Wajba has commenced and will open in September 2020, the year of the 40th anniversary of Doha College. With inspiring learning environments and cutting‐edge facilities, the new development will feature dedicated zones for Primary and Secondary, as well as expansive indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Doha College will continue to operate from two campus locations following its launch. The 4‐form Primary School at its West Bay campus will remain in addition to a 6‐form Primary School and a 10‐form Secondary School at its Al Wajba site.
