Doha International Trade Fair Qatar

The Doha International Trade Fair (DTF) is Qatar’s biggest shopping carnival, held at Qatar International Exhibitions Center, Doha. The fair is organized by the Qatar Tourism Authority in collaboration with Maraya Public Relations and is held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Khalifa, Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The 10 day annual event involves participation of traders from across the globe and visitors have the chance to find remarkable brands from international exhibitors. The main products on the display are electronics, leather products, handicrafts, footwear, furniture, stationary, jewelry, books, antiques, designer clothing, carpets, glassware, giftware, toys and health products.

With several products and services being showcased under a single roof, The International Trade Fair Doha is the right opportunity for ardent shopaholics. The trade fair has helped in promoting Qatar further as a tourist destination and there are a range of local and international brands offering discounts which makes shopping during the event more terrific.

There is an international cultural show organized during the trade fair which is also quite popular among the trade fair visitors. Children and families will enjoy the electrifying entertainment in the specially built 'Fun Zone'.

There is a separate 3,000 sqm fun zone that features inflatables, a family of mascots, face painting, and a parade which could keep kids completely occupied.

Take the Al Waab road going to Villaggio from Al Saad and before Sports City turn right at the signal.

Doha International Trade Fair was rechristened as 'The World Trade Festival’ in 2014', and the 10-day fair which used to take place at the Doha Exhibitions Center until then, is being held in a different venue, reasonably, to overcome the parking and other traffic related problems.

Apart from international companies, the fair involves participation from large number of local firms from various sectors, including representation from small enterprises manufacturing handcrafts and other household items. The fair organizers allocated several shops at discounted prices to several regional companies and community institutions providing them the opportunity to market their products and compete with international players. Nearly 200 companies from over 25 countries are seen participating in the shopping-cum-entertainment festival.

A wide variety of quality products are available for sale at over 250 stalls. Most of the products available at the fair are fashion and accessories, followed by household items, perfumes, cosmetics, furniture and décor items, readymade garments and various food products.

Various cultural events and programmes are organized for children and adults, including performances by various bands such as Filipino acrobatic magician band, Palestinian, Iranian and Egyptian folklore. The performances took place every day from 3pm to 10pm until the last day. There were also gifts provided for all visitors to the festival.
