No hotel quarantine for children of Covid-19 vaccinated parents

08 March 2021

Children, whose parents have received vaccination against Covid-19, will be exempted from hotel quarantine when arriving into Qatar from red zone countries.

Children up to 16 years of age will be exempted from hotel quarantine only if accompanied by a parent who has received the complete course of Covid-19 vaccine in Qatar.

However, the child will have to quarantine for 7 days at home.

Any adult who has received both the doses of Covid-19 vaccine from a medical facility in Qatar are exempted from quarantine too, provided, the second vaccine dose is at least 14 days prior to their arrival date in Qatar.

However, parents travelling with a minor aged 16 to 18 years, where the minor is yet to receive the vaccine inline with the above qualifications, they will have to book a hotel accommodation for seven days and follow the other quarantine and precautionary measures suggested thereafter.
