Qatar reverts to ‘visa-on-arrival’ policy in place of Hayya Card

Qatar has re-introduced visa-on-arrival policies, in place of the Hayya Card which it introduced for the FIFA World Cup.

Visitors from over 95 nationalities, including Indians can choose Visa-on-Arrival, and explore fresh attractions which have opened in the lead up to FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Indian, Thai and Pakistani nationalities can obtain free visa-on-arrival in Qatar, for a maximum of one-month, or based on hotel reservation, provided, their passport is valid for at least six months, they have a confirmed return ticket, and a confirmed hotel reservation only through ‘Discover Qatar’.

As per latest travel rules, the Head of Promotions sector, Haya al-Noami, said “Looking back at the end of a truly remarkable month of celebrations, we are so proud to have hosted some of the year’s most memorable moments. We are confident that Qatar’s iconic attractions, warmth and openness and infectious enthusiasm will continue to drawn in residents and visitors toward the end of the year and into the next.”
